While raising two children, Deb worked in a variety of private and public organizations. After a stint as a student at Mount Hood and Portland Community Colleges, she entered the accounting program at Portland State. As a graduate of Portland State's School of Business (BS in Accounting and MS in Financial Analysis) and a former adjunct accounting professor, she understands PSU from the view of a student, faculty, and staff member. She is a season-ticket holder to Viking sports, a frequent attendee of PSU student arts productions and a charter member of the School of Business' Accounting Circle.
Deb Janikowski brings a wealth of accounting experience to the PSU budget office. A CPA with experience at a public accounting firm, Portland Public Schools, the non-profit OCP Publications, and PSU's Business Affairs Office, Deb understands the complexity of budgeting in resource-constrained public education and brings a strong business sense to her job. As the Director for Budget Systems Operations in the Budget and Planning Office, Deb is responsible for coordinating all the various components required to help guide and inform the campus units.
