About You: I originally got my start with student leadership programs as an undergrad at Oregon State University, and then turned that passion into a career by earning my Master's degree at Miami University. I have worked with student leaders in an advising capacity for the last five years whether in student activities and leadership, in residence halls or through community service organizations. I believe in the power of student involvement because I have seen so many good students become great individuals of purpose through taking on leadership positions while furthering their education. I think that University Housing and Residence Life at Portland State provides an amazing way for students to influence and shape the community in which they live as well as develop a greater ability to work with others, communicate effectively, and understand more about themselves. Being involved with student leadership programming allowed me not only to become more connected with my community, but also helped prepare me for life after college. And it can do the same for you!
