Experience: Clinical work as adult, child and family therapist since 1991. Supervisor. Design and administration of several mental health outpatient programs. Founder and current Administrative Director of Conexiones, a mental health organization. Co-founded the Center for Trauma Recovery.
Interests: Individual, intergenerational, developmental and complex traumas treatment. Cross-cultural psychology. Family focused treatment for children, youth and adults. Working with disempowered communities.
Teaching Areas: Direct service practice, mental health, cross-cultural counseling/interventions, psychotherapy with Latinos.
Others: Immigrant from Venezuela. In March 2010 received the Social Work of the Year Award by the National Association of Social Workers, Oregon Chapter.
