Role: Social Work 50th Anniversary Coordinator
Education: BS, Applied Behavioral Sciences with a focus in Social Advocacy for Diverse Groups, University of California, Davis, MSW, University of Denver, 1996
Experience: Lisa has a background in community education with a focus on interpersonal violence prevention and early intervention, including child abuse, dating and domestic violence, and trauma-informed services. She also has experience in non-profit curriculum development and implementation, with a focus on peer educator programs for teens. Lisa has had the opportunity to plan events for non-profits, including conferences, workshops, retreats and professional training. Also involved in community outreach, she has experience facilitating productive alliances between non-profits, schools, service providers, businesses, and other key stakeholders. As a social worker committed to honoring the powerful impact of the profession on the community, Lisa is excited to be supporting the School of Social Work in marking this important time in the School’s history by coordinating the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
