Interests: promotion of self-determination by individuals with diverse abilities, their families and communities; positive youth development and transition, interpersonal violence, person-directed services, peer-delivered services, mental health transformation.

Teaching Areas: social problem evaluation, policy analysis, disability, diversity and social justice.

Recent Awards:
  • Branford Price Millar Award for Faculty Excellence (2011): The Branford Price Millar Award is given annually to a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, instruction, University service, and public service, and whose performance in the area of scholarship and research is judged to be exceptional - values recognized by the late Branford P. Millar, a distinguished president of the University.
