Jane Iwamura: Lecture and Workshop at the Portland Center for Public Humanities
Jane Naomi Iwamura is Visiting Scholar and Lecturer in Asian American Studies at UCLA. She is the author of Virtual Orientalism: Asian Religions and American Popular Culture (Oxford 2011) and the co-editor of Revealing the Sacred in Asian and Pacific America (Routledge 2003). In May 2012, she gave a lecture (Jedi Masters, Karate Kids, and Kung Fu Pandas: Reimagining American Religions for a New Generation), and a workshop (American Dreams: Race, Religion, and U.S.Film) at the Portland Center for Public Humanities at PSU.
