• Areas of Responsibility in the Library: Reference, Instruction, and Collection Development for the Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, Physics, Center for Science Education, various other Centers and Institutes).
• Areas of Research: Dissemination of scientific information, specifically alternative publishing models and grey literature. Information literacy, specifically with advanced undergraduates and graduate students. International librarianship.
• Recently appointed to the U.S. Department of Education’s new Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) library committee to advise the Department on such topics as: journals and grey literature sources, as well as types of content appropriate for ERIC; usability and effectiveness for end-users; and ERIC outreach and services.
