Bob Meister. Lecture at the Portland Center for Public Humanities

Bob Meister is President of the Council of UC Faculty Associations, Professor of the History of Consciousness and of Social and Political Thought at University of California Santa Cruz, Director of the Bruce Initiative on Rethinking Capitalism at UCSC, and most recently author of “After Evil: A Politics of Human Rights,” which is a critique of the late-twentieth century discourse of human rights. His research focus concerns the moral relations between the beneficiaries of social and political injustice and its victims.

In April 2011 he gave a lecture at the Portland Center for Public Humanities.
