From PSU to UPS
Scott Davis is the President and CEO of UPS. Since it was founded in 1907 as a messenger company, UPS has grown into a multi-billion-dollar corporation by clearly focusing on the goal of enabling commerce around the globe. Today, UPS is a leading global provider of specialized transportation and logistics services and one of the most recognized brands in the world.
A native of Oregon, Scott grew up in Roseburg and went on to complete a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Portland State University’s School of Business Administration. After completing college, he spent several years with Arthur Andersen. Davis also completed an Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School.
Davis then went on to be chief financial officer and CEO of an Oregon technology company, II Morrow. He began working for UPS when it acquired II Morrow in 1986. After serving as CEO of a reinsurance company, Overseas Partners, Ltd., Davis returned to UPS as its vice president of finance. In 2001, he became chief financial officer before becoming the current CEO.
