Our Community Partner: Oregon Center for Environmental Health
OCEH is a non-profit, member-based organization dedicated to reducing and eliminating toxic chemicals that are long-lasting and build up in living tissues, threatening the health and reproductive viability of humans and wildlife. Students use the OCEH as a practicum site for learning about sustainability and environmental health issues.

NAYA works to increase opportunities for healthy activities by promoting family stability, youth camps, support groups, cultural activities, tutoring classes, and special events. PSU students assist in helping the agency grow from a small recreation program staffed by volunteers to a fully sustainable youth community center.

NCNM provides an academic experience focusing on natural medicine, both eastern and western, and integrated medical education, research, and patient care. PSU Students research, develop and write grant proposals to assist the NCNM in its pursuit of funding for program support.

El Programa Hispano provides a comprehensive array of social and mental health services to low-income Latinos who speak little or no English and live in the Portland-area. PSU students use Spanish skills to assist recent immigrants with a variety of social services.

Our Community Partner: Sisters of the Road
Sisters Of the Road Cafh is a non-profit restaurant open to the public. An estimated 250-300 meals are served daily through SOTR's Hot Meals Program. Meals are given free of charge to all first time visitors to the cafi and to those who are unable to pay and cannot work because of age, ill health or parenting responsibilities.
