George McCleary wants to hone his real estate investment skills.

He’s doing that by enrolling in Portland State University's new master’s program in real estate development. The 32-year-old McCleary is a residential broker for Tigard-based Reekie Properties. He already owns 30 apartment units.

He expects the PSU program will help him better analyze investment opportunities, improve his marketability as a real estate professional and provide some initial background for learning to develop his own projects.

The Master of Real Estate Development degree is offered by PSU’s School of Business Administration in collaboration with the College of Urban and Public Affairs.
