Biographical Note:
Charles Rynerson is a research faculty member of the Population Research Center (PRC) in the College of Urban and Public Affairs at Portland State University. He has worked as an applied demographer for over 25 years at PRC, the San Diego Association of Governments, and the San Diego Unified School District.
At PRC, Mr. Rynerson is the Oregon State Data Center Coordinator, helping the public access and understand information from the U.S. Census Bureau and providing training and assistance for a network of 24 agencies around Oregon that serve census data users. He also manages special projects including county and city population forecasts and school enrollment forecasts. Since returning to PRC in 2006, Mr. Rynerson has prepared enrollment forecasts and associated demographic analysis for more than 25 school districts in Oregon, coordinated several censuses and household surveys, and conducted labor market research.
