Sexual Assault Education Theater
Monday, November 26th from 5:30-6:45pm (SMSU 236)
We all have opportunities to stop sexual violence before it occurs. We can keep an eye out for potentially dangerous situations and step in when we see something happening. However, it can be hard to know exactly what to do or say. Come to a performance of the Sexual Assault Education Theater Capstone Class, where students will perform a play they've written about sexual assault on campus. The performance is based on the Theather of the Oppressed Open Forum model, in which audience members are invited to stop and shift the action by joining the play, thereby practicing strategies for facing challening situations and "rehearsing for the future." For more information, call the WRC at 503-725-5672.
