Profile: Meet Vanessa

Well, my name is Vanessa. I am one of four children; I am the middle child which can be pretty hard at times. I have two sisters, one brother, and two nephews. I am really close with my family and cannot be away from them too long! I am a first-generation college student and a few of my motivations to finish school are to pave the path for my younger siblings, my older sister, my nephews, cousins, and any other family member who never thought they could go on to higher education. I also love children, which is why I want to be a counselor at a middle school or high school. I didn't really have a counselor, who could help with getting to college, and that is one reason I want to be a counselor; I want to be able to help someone out and give back what I did not receive. I also love photography and hope someday I can be a professional photographer!
