Paloma is a senior, majoring in History and minoring in Anthropology. She will graduate in June and hopes to continue at PSU’s Graduate School of Education. An Oregon native, she lived outside the state far too long while her husband was in the military. She returned to college after a substantial break, and chose to become an Orientation Leader so she could assist others in their transitions. Her pearls of wisdom for new students: rent a locker if you commute; get your FlexPass and use it; never buy new books if you can help it; carry a campus map with you the first weeks and don’t be embarrassed to ask for directions.
