Profile: Meet Javi

She is a member of the orientation team.

Javi moved to the States from Rancagua, Chile at the age of 8, she was scared because she didn’t know anyone and she didn’t speak the language. But after 6 months of adjusting to her new home she fell in love with Oregon. During high school she was an active member of the drama department, from performing in shows to being a leader of her Thespian Troupe. After graduating she landed at Portland State University where she is currently studying Biology. She loves the people she has met at PSU and the classes she has taken in her first year. She recently decided to become more involved in her school as a member of the Orientation team, she is hoping to help new students transition into the college life smoothly and make new friends.
