Programa Familiar Bilingüe / Bilingual Family Program
Portland State University se enorgullece en ofrecer un Programa Bilingüe Familiar para familias hispanohablantes. Nuestra meta es que como padre o miembro de la familia comprenda el sistema universitario y la importancia de apoyar a su estudiante para que sea exitoso. El Programa Bilingüe Familiar está diseñado para educar a las familias acerca de los recursos disponibles para los estudiantes en PSU, y la transición que muchos estudiantes y familias experimentan durante esta trayectoria académica. Hay una opción para el Programa Bilingüe Familiar en el 2013:
- Lunes , 15 de julio es para las familias de los estudiantes que se graduarán de la preparatoria y será su primer año en la universidad en el término del otoño, la cual empieza en septiembre.
- (Lunes, 15 de julio es también para las familias de los estudiantes que se van a transferir en el término del otoño, la cual empieza en septiembre. Llame a la Oficina de Orientación si usted es un estudiante de transladar y le gustaría asistir a la Orientación en esta fecha.)
El programa será de las 8:30 am - 5:00 pm y será al mismo tiempo que la orientación de su estudiante. Para registrarse, su estudiante debe inscribirse utilizando el sistema de registración por el internet. El estudiante podrá indicar si él o ella traerá invitados, y seleccionar la opción del Programa Bilingüe Familiar para el 15 de julio.
Tenga en cuenta que hay un costo de $20 por invitado pagable el día del programa. Esto cubre el costo de los materiales del programa, los alimentos y el personal. Usted y su estudiante recibirá más información acerca del programa después de inscribirse.

Portland State University is proud to offer a Bilingual Family Program for Spanish-speaking families. It is our belief that your understanding - as a parent or family member - of Portland State University, and the support that you provide to your PSU student, will assist in your student's ability to be successful. The Bilingual Family Program is designed to educate you about the resources available to PSU students and the transitions that many students and families experience during this academic journey. Information will be provided in both Spanish and English during the program.
There is one option for Bilingual Family Programs in 2013:
- Monday, July 15 is for families of freshmen students beginning Fall term.
- (Monday, July 15 is also for families of transfer students beginning Fall term. Call the Orientation office if you are a transfer student and would like to attend Orientation on this date.)
The program will last from approximately 8:30am - 5:00pm and will run concurrently with your student's Orientation: Advising and Registration Day. To register, your student must sign-up using the online reservation system. When signing up, your student can indicate if he or she will be bringing guests, and can also select the Bilingual Family Program option for July 15.
Please note there is a $20 fee per guest payable upon arrival. This covers the cost of program materials, food, and staffing. You and your student will receive more information about specific program details after registering.
