Excel Workshops

The Office of Information Technology provides training for many aspects of using Excel. A full description of the workshop can be found below.

Excel: Intro

Instructor: Nate HenryPhyllis Boulton
Location: PSU labs, usually Neuberger Hall, 4th floor or Cramer Hall basement lab.
Length: 2 hours
Description: Excel is a great tool for tracking projects, organizing data, and turning raw data into usable information. This free workshop will get beginners up to speed and also give Excel users some new tips and features.

In this free workshop we will explore Excel. This workshop is appropriate for people new to Excel and people who haven’t had time to really explore what Excel can do for them. An Excel workbook will be shared with attendees and used to practice the basic features of Excel.


Excel: Intermediate

Instructor: Brian GrantNate Henry
Location: PSU labs, usually Neuberger Hall, 4th floor or Cramer Hall basement lab.
Length: 2 hours
Description: An exploration of some of the more advanced features of Microsoft Excel. Bring your questions. The last half hour will be for questions. A workbook of examples will be shared with attendees and learning will be through exercises.


Excel: Advanced

Instructor: Brian Grant
Location: PSU labs, usually Neuberger Hall, 4th floor or Cramer Hall basement lab.
Length: 2 hours
Description: A more thorough exploration of the advanced features of Microsoft Excel. Bring your questions, the last half hour is for individual questions about attendees' own workbooks.
