Oregon Registry Trainer Program
The Oregon Registry Trainer Program offers voluntary certification for trainers and adult educators in the childhood care and education profession.
The Oregon Registry Trainer Program includes three types of certified trainers:
- Standardized Trainers
- Community Trainers
- Master Trainers
Qualifications are based on one’s experience as a trainer, experience in the field, and education in the field and are increasingly more rigorous from the Standardized Trainers to Community Trainers to Master Trainers. Trainers can increase their knowledge of adult education and adult development through training opportunities listed in Resources for Training in Adult Education and Development.

The Oregon Registry Trainer Program certifies two types of community-based training.
- Standardized Curricula
- Independent training sessions
All certified training sessions have been reviewed and approved to assure they meet standards in the Core Body of Knowledge and they offer high quality learning experiences for professional development connected to the Oregon Registry Steps. For a list of training sessions approved for Community and Master Trainers, please download a copy of approved Current Certified Sessions.xls.
The Oregon Registry Trainer Program partners with organizations that offer training to Oregon’s professionals.
