Scott Burns, Geology faculty, presented a paper, “Advances in the Study of Landslides in the Last 50 years in Engineering Geology,” at the Geological Society of America’s 125th Anniversary Annual Meeting & Exposition in Denver, Colo., Oct. 27-30.  In addition, he was co-author on four papers on radon: “A Comparison of Geology to Long-term and Short-term Radon Tests in the Metro Area of Portland, Oregon”; “Radon Hot Spots in Oregon and the Underlying Geology”; “The Importance of Season in Testing of Radon Using Short-term Residential Structures, Portland, Oregon”; and “Radon in Homes of Portland, Oregon: Data from Local Radon Testing Companies Collected by CRM (Continuous Radon Measurement) Machines.”
