Fletcher Beaudoin has been named assistant director of the Institute for Sustainable Solutions (ISS) at Portland State University. Beaudoin will work closely with ISS Director Jennifer Allen to develop and advance multi-year strategies for PSU’s sustainability programs and initiatives.
“Fletcher has been instrumental in developing ISS’s programs over the past several years and has helped increase the impact of PSU’s work in the city and region,” said Allen. “I am excited to work with him in his new leadership role to guide ISS through our next phase of development.”
Beaudoin joined Portland State in 2009 to plan and draft PSU’s Climate Action Plan, which outlines a path for the University to reach carbon neutrality by 2040. Most recently, he held the position of partnerships director for ISS, focusing on advancing sustainability research, education, and outreach and building stronger relationships between the PSU community and sustainability practitioners.
“We’re at a fantastic point in the trajectory of PSU’s sustainability efforts—it’s exciting to be apart of developing these programs and thinking about how to make them even more successful than they already are,” said Beaudoin.
