Overview

OAI provides consultation and facilitates programs that address teaching and learning needs in a range of learning environments: fully online, hybrid, classroom-based and community-based.

OAI staff is available to support PSU faculty with consultation about their teaching. Faculty members at all levels can consult with OAI staff about any aspect of their teaching, including assessment, curriculum development, and course & program design. All support is evidence-based and covers a spectrum of learning environments. OAI has specific services for fully and partially online program development.

OAI Events and Programs bring faculty together to gain insight from each other through open conversations on teaching topics. These events are hosted as a series of online, face-to-face or hybrid activities and are open to faculty at all levels – senior faculty, new faculty, or graduate assistants. Many programs are faculty-led and focus on the creation and facilitation of faculty learning communities.

OAI Resources connect faculty with information about teaching at PSU via our teaching resources website, our library, and by providing faculty with inviting, well-equipped spaces at our new location in SMSU 209M that support the design and development of effective teaching activities and the creation of course materials.
