Profile: Meet Student Ambassador Krissy Alexander

Minor:  Psychology

Biography:
Krissy was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Oregon at the age of nine. Although she has
lived in Oregon for the last 12 years, she is still not used to the cold rainy Portland weather.
She was accepted to Portland State University in the Fall of 2005, unsure of her academic
endeavors. Through her involvement with Student Activities and Leadership Programs and
guidance from supportive advisors, she found her niche in the Social Sciences. As a first year
ambassador she looks forward to making connections within Portland State as well as with
community members. Krissy has several goals that she plans on accomplishing after
graduation, her goals center around service to the communities that have supported her
growth throughout her college career.

Goals after graduation: To work in a Non-Profit focused on preservation and education of
native arts and culture.
