Dragan Milosevic and Tim Anderson, Engineering Management faculty, and alumnus Peerasit Patanakul, co-authored the paper "A Decision Support Model for Project Manager Assignments," which was awarded the Transactions on Engineering Management Best Paper Award for 2007. The paper first appeared in IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Vol. 54, No. 3, August 2007, and was selected by the journal's editor-in-chief and department editors from 54 papers published in the journal in 2007.

Sergio Palleroni, Architecture faculty, received the United States Green Building Council’s first education award in Boston, Nov. 21. The council award recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations committed to advancing green building design, construction, and operations. A new PSU faculty member this fall, Palleroni received the award for his work at University of Texas in Austin.

Rita Robillard, Art faculty, has artwork in the Place in Time: Contemporary Landscapes exhibit at the Williamson Gallery at Scripps College in Claremont, Calif., Nov. 2-Dec. 14. Lynette Feder, Liberal Arts and Sciences faculty, was one of 35 experts invited to participate in a three-day national panel on "The Effects of Marriage and the Couple Relationship on the Health of Infants, Adolescents and Older Adults," funded by the Johnson Foundation and convening at the Wingspread Conference Center in Racine, Wis. The panel's charge was to think through new directions in research that might answer the needs of policy makers and politicians. A working paper will be published on the panel's discussions and conclusions.
