Two PSU Campus Rec student employees were presented awards at the annual NIRSA (National Intramural-Recreation Sports Association) National Conference in Austin, Texas on April 4, 2008.

Yoshini Gunawardena and Josh Read each accepted a William Wasson Academic and Leadership Award during the award ceremony.  Yoshini is currently the Communications Coordinator and Graphic Designer while Josh is the Assistant Intramurals Coordinator.

The William N. Wasson award is given to recognize top undergraduate and graduate students who are participants of and/or employed by the Department of Recreational Sports. The award gives NIRSA an opportunity to honor outstanding student leaders who are active participants, employees, and/or volunteers at their institution.
