AndersAllison Anders has written and directed six feature films, including Gas Food
Lodging, Mi Vida Loca, and Sugar
Town. She has also
directed episodes for eight television series, including Sex and the City, Cold
Case, The L Word, and What about Brian?, and she has written and directed two
TV movies, In the Echo and Things Behind the Sun. She has served as
producer or executive producer on three projects and is currently executive
producer for Unicorns, the story of a teenage girl who retreats into fantasy
after a violent relationship.
Anders is this year’s Director in Residence in PSU’s Department of Theater Arts
film degree program. She will speak about her career as a writer-director, and
particularly the differences and similarities between working in film and
television.
