Harassment

Portland State University policy prohibits behavior based on another's status that has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working or educational environment. Status refers to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status or veteran status. Helen Gordon Child Development Center

This is Portland State University's full-day infant/toddler, preschool and kindergarten program and laboratory serving children aged six-months to six years. See HELEN GORDON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER.

Help Desk

The Help Desk is designed to help the campus community in the use of technology. Services provided include answering questions concerning computer hardware and software, networking, accessing campus computer resources, using e-mail, systems status, etc. The Help Desk is located in 18 Smith Memorial Student Union. Hoffmann Award

The George C. Hoffmann Award is given annually to a faculty member in recognition of distinguished contribution to the University in the areas of instruction, university service, and scholarship performed in the spirit of humanism, civility, and collegiality with particular dedication to students and loyalty to the University - values especially cherished by the late George C. Hoffmann, a distinguished dean and professor of history at the University. Nominations are solicited by the Office of Academic Affairs each spring.

Holidays

Institutional holidays are: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Day, and any other day declared by the Governor.
