A TriMet bus parade, celebrating the return of buses to the downtown mall, ends on campus with speeches, prizes, and entertainment Friday, May 22. Campus festivities are expected to begin at 11 a.m. in the Urban Center Plaza. Portland State is the top boarding location in the system and a project partner with TriMet.

At the event, the PSU Steps of Rhythm will dance and the PSU Jazz Band will perform. Speakers are Lindsay Desrochers, PSU vice president of Finance and Administration; Fred Hansen, TriMet general manager; and Portland Mayor Sam Adams. Drummers, the Trail Blazer mascot, and Nomadic Theatre Company performers will accompany the parade, which will include a new MAX train.
