Second Annual President's Diversity Initiative Awards - Call for Nominations

Do you know someone who deserves an award for their exemplary diversity work? Here is the opportunity to nominate your favorite PSU diversity advocate (or advocates) for recognition! You only have until Monday, April 17 to do so, so act quickly!

Portland State University's Diversity Action Council is requesting nominations for the first annual President's Diversity Initiative Awards. The awards will be presented at the Council's annual

Focus on Diversity Awards Reception
June 6, 2006 from 3:00 pm-6:30 pm.

The Diversity Action Council wishes to recognize one faculty member, student, and staff member of the University who exemplifies and honors the President's Diversity Initiative, which focuses on the following:

  • Enhancing the institutional environment, curriculum, and scholarship
  • Increasing numbers of students from under-represented groups
  • Increasing numbers of persons from under-represented groups in faculty, staff, and administration
  • Strengthening connections with diverse communities in the region
