What:
Portland State University in conjunction with the Portland State Center for Science Education will host the Intel Northwest Science Exposition, now in its 25th year. This is the largest science fair in Oregon and SW Washington, and showcases 5th - 12th grade students competing in individual and team science and engineering projects, focused on natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics and computer science. The Northwest Science Exposition's mission is to develop scientific talent and promote science literacy.

Background:
Since 1993, the Portland State University Center for Science Education has been a vibrant part of PSU's College of
Liberal Arts and Sciences. The CSE aims to enhance science teaching and learning through innovative education,
research and community outreach programs. The Center provides graduate level education courses, a Master of Science
