The free workshop "The Social Equity Factor: A Study of Community Attitudes, Expectation, and Priorities" is scheduled Friday, March 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. in 294 Smith Union. The main speaker is Lynn Feekin, Labor Education and Research Center, University of Oregon.

Integrating social equity principles into community sustainability initiatives are a challenge for all communities. This presentation summarizes the findings of a Eugene study exploring community sentiment on sustainable business development and the kinds of practices community members believe are most essential to the promotion of social equity.

The event is sponsored by PSU's Working Group on Social Sustainability, the Economics Department, and the Center for Professional Integrity and Accountability. For more information, contact Marion Sharp at sharpml@pdx.edu.
