Midnight at the Dragon CafeAs part of Multnomah County’s 2007 “Everybody Reads” project, Portland State University professors will lead book group discussions (listed below) around the community on the 2007 book choice, Midnight at the Dragon Café, by Judy Fong Bates.

This is the second year the “Everybody Reads” project is hosting book groups with scholar-led discussions, the majority led by Portland State professors, hoping to enrich the experience for participants by getting a deeper understanding and appreciation for the novel. Some of the scholars will simply lead a book discussion while others will offer brief background talks in their area of expertise. The discussions will run 60–90 minutes.

All book group discussions are free and open to the public. For more information on the discussion groups or scholars information please contact Bob Schroeder at schroedr@pdx.edu or visit www.multcolib.org/reads/.
