Pre-med micro/molecular biology major, Nicholas Robbins, returned to school after a 12 year career in the automotive industry. Since transferring from Mt. Hood Community College, he has been an integral member of LSAMP by becoming the Tutoring Coordinator for the Sciences and offering workshops on goal setting and motivation. He has been involved in research on campus and has presented at the annual LSAMP research conference winning first place in biology & medicine. Based on his academic achievements and his community involvement Nicholas was awarded the Ford Family Foundation scholarship in 2010. This year, he received multiple acceptances to medical schools and has decided to attend OHSU after being offered a full tuition scholarship to fund his medical degree. He will graduate in 2013, but will continue to be a liaison for the OHSU Center for Diversity and Inclusion & LSAMP/PSU.
