Education Intern

Applications for this internship are accepted on a term-by-term basis in Fall, Winter and Spring

The Middle East Studies Center’s Education Intern will take an active role in a range of educational projects. The Center seeks a highly motivated student interested in learning more about global education through supporting the outreach activities of the Middle East Studies Center. Applicants should have strong writing and research skills, interest in developing teaching and learning materials for K-12 students, and excellent organizational skills and time management. Students should be able to work well independently and as part of a team and should be able to dedicate 7-10 hours per week to this unpaid internship.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing content for the Middle East Studies Center Resource Hub
  • Communicating with K-12 schools and Education Schools to promote Middle East Studies Center programs
  • Working closely with the Outreach Coordinator to plan workshops for educators
  • Writing and distributing the MESC Monthly (a newsletter for Educators)

Interns will also be involved in educating the community broadly about the Middle East through tasks including:

  • Developing content for the Middle East Studies Center Resource Hub
  • Communicating with K-12 schools to promote Middle East Studies Center programs
  • Working with Education Schools to secure workshops and seminars
