Advisory Boards

The Middle East Studies Center Advisory Board brings together a group of distinguished Portland State alumni and friends of the University who have a demonstrated commitment to the vision and goals of the Middle East Studies Center. Dr Thomas Bartlett, former Chancellor of the Oregon University System, and former President of the American University in Cairo, is the Chair of the Advisory Board, working closely with Middle East Studies Center’s Director, James Grehan. The Advisory Board aims to provide support for the Middle East Studies Center. Board members are at the core of the Center’s development efforts, serving as its liaisons to the community and ambassadors in their spheres of influence.
