Created in 2010, the Center for Interdisciplinary Mentoring Research exists to advance the field of mentoring, nationally and internationally, through innovative and rigorous research, education and knowledge sharing, and partnerships with organizations providing services.


 

The Center for Interdisciplinary Mentoring Research is pleased to be a partner of the 2012 National Mentoring Summit which will be held in Washington D.C., January 24th and 25th. Note that there will be a special panel research presentation featuring CIMR director, Thomas Keller, and CIMR researcher, Marc Wheeler. The panel, "What Research Says,” will be moderated by Jean Rhodes and also features researchers Tim Cavell, Keoki Hansen, Michael Karcher, and Renee Spencer, all of whom have been a part of the CIMR-hosted Summer Institute on Youth Mentoring.  There will also be a presentation by CIMR Research Scholarship Awardee, Christian Rummell, on mentoring and supporting Gay Youth. Look for CIMR at the Summit and Happy National Mentoring Month!
