Support Applied Linguistics
The Department of Applied Linguistics consists of two separate but unified faculties and programs: Applied Linguistics (AL) and the Intensive English Language Program (IELP).
The Applied Linguistics Department has 13 faculty, more than 200 undergraduate majors and students in the TESOL Certificate Program, and over 75 graduate students. Faculty in our department are interested in the connections between linguistics and other disciplines such as education, psychology, and sociology.
Courses in Applied Linguistics offer students the chance to learn about one of the most fascinating and most discussed human behaviours: language. Please browse our website to find out more about what we do.
