LING 470/570: Grammar for TESOL

Credits:
A study of (a) the grammatical structures that are most often troublesome for students of English; (b) how to teach various grammatical structures; (c) how to resolve the problems and questions frequently posed by language learners; and (d) ways to analyze, adapt and/or supplement language textbooks. The emphasis throughout is on direct classroom application, especially in teaching grammar classes and writing classes.
Prerequisites: LING 390 *and* LING 492 (or equivalent, or pass the waiver exam)
