LING 433/533: Psycholinguistics

A survey of psycholinguistics—the psychology of language, as influenced by linguistics models and research, and pursued through the experimental methodologies of psychology.

Course focuses on the mechanisms and processes of language production, perception, understanding at a range of levels: speech production and recognition; syntactic and semantic organization of utterances; and lexical memory. Topics also include language acquisition, and the psychology of reading.

Prerequisites: LING 390 or equivalent.
