The Women of Color Action Team Present:
Resisting Violence in Communities of Color
Friday, October 26th
2:30pm-4pm, WRC Lounge
In support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Women of Color Action Team would like to open up a dialogue with our Portland State University (PSU) colleagues about ways we can resist violence in diverse communities. It's an opportunity to come together and not just talk about the problem, but find solutions and engage in activism. Come join the conversation with guest speakers: Walidah Imarisha is a Black Studies professor at PSU and an activist in Portland. S. Renee Mitchell has contributed to the empowerment of marginalized groups in Portland. She is the co-founder of Healing Roots Center an organization that advocates for women of color.
