Admission to IDS Track

This track within International Studies is intended for self-motivated students with a strong sense of social responsibility and willingness to undertake a challenging course of study. Students will assemble a portfolio as they progress through the major to be presented for review in their final year.

To enter the International Development Studies track, students must first complete INTL 101 and enroll in INTL 395: Colloquium for IDS. Prior lower division course work in one or more of the areas of development study is also recommended (see below).

Recommended Foundation Courses

One to two years, or the equivalent, of previous study of a foreign language, and two or more of the following or their equivalents:

- UNST 220: Understanding Communities
