Kathleen is a second-year doctoral student in the Nohad A. Toulan School of Urban Studies and Planning. Her research foci are: the development of senior living communities for older gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, the impact exercise can have on stroke recovery, and non-traditional family support networks. Prior to entering the doctoral program, Kathleen was a political and media consultant. She is currently on the Board of Directors of SHARE, and a volunteer with the Elder Resource Alliance and the Q Center in Portland.
