Melnyk is known for his work in developing "continuous music", a technique of piano playing that relies upon rapid notes and note-series, sustained to generate overtones and sympathetic resonances, creating a tapestry of sound.
Melnyk released his latest album, "Corollaries" on UK label Erased Tapes. The album was recorded and produced by Oregon musician Peter Broderick ,with the additional help of Nils Frahm and Martyn Heyne.
