Ready to roll
There has never been a better time to commute by bike.
All month long, cyclists can sign up for the 2013 Bike to PSU Challenge for inspiration, support and a chance to win weekly prizes.
About 12 percent of students regularly ride their bikes to campus, one of the many reasons PSU has been named a Gold Bicycle Friendly University by the League of American Bicyclists. PSU is among the top four universities in the national rankings.
Last year, more than 1,100 bikers logged 125,000 miles in the challenge, and organizers are aiming to top that this year.
The challenge provides support and structure to make the transition to bike commuting easy, safe and fun. If you don’t have a bike, you can rent one through the Bike Hub’s new low-cost VikeBikes program.
If you’re an experienced bike commuter, you can start a team, invite your friends and track your progress.
The challenge offers free classes, events, biker breakfasts, and prize drawings, including a weekly raffle for a new Linus bike. Check out the full schedule on the Bike Hub workshops and event page.
Good luck and happy riding.
