Startup Weekend at PSU
Friday, October 5, 2012, 4:00 p.m. to Sunday, October 7, 2012, 7:00 p.m.
Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science Building
Create a business in 54 hours! An amazing experience for all participants.
Aspiring entrepreneurs take action! Startup Weekend is all about giving you and fellow students interested in the startup scene the opportunity to work on building and launching businesses. Beginning Friday night, ideas are pitched by participants, groups are formed around ideas, and work begins to develop the business model, test it, create prototypes, talk to potential customers, and research competitors. By Sunday night, you're ready to pitch the business to a panel of local investors and members of the business community.
You'll have the opportunity to find a co-founder, build your network, learn new skills, launch a business, and get access to valuable startup resources. History has shown that about 80% of Startup Weekend participants continue working on their startup after the weekend. Even if you don't, you'll have had an amazing experience!
Startup Weekend is an international, non profit organization with over 50,000 alumni. For more information visit www.startupweekend.org.
Sponsored by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
COST: From $29 up (includes seven meals). Register.
