Employers coming to PSU

Whether you're looking for a job now, or are preparing for graduation, don't miss the two biggest PSU career events of the year this Wednesday and Thursday:

4th Annual Engineering and Technology Fair, Wednesday, Feb. 12

All Majors Career Fair, Thursday, Feb. 13

Both events run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Smith Memorial Student Union Ballroom.

Forty-eight companies will be exhibiting at the Engineering and Technology Fair, and many of them will return the next day for the All Major event, where 64 companies will be on hand.

Nike will make an appearance for the first time in a decade. Banfield Pet Hospital, which started an internship program last year, will be recruiting business majors. And Acquia, an open-cloud computing company that made its first appearance at PSU last fall, will exhibit on both days.

Greg Flores, associate director of career services, tells students that a key to getting the attention of visiting companies is to come prepared and informed.

“Look at the list of companies, check out their web pages, and see the current job openings. Come dressed up ready to make a first impression. Show that you know who these companies are and what they do,” he said.
