Application Process and Information
Interns are chosen through a competitive application process. To be considered for selection, please submit an application containing all elements below to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 5pm on Friday, February 15, 2013. Only current Master of Urban and Regional Planning students in the Toulan School of Urban Studies & Planning are eligible for the internships.
Students considering the internship program are advised to read reports written by past interns, the Transplanet blog maintained by the last two summers' interns and attend the China Seminar. Prior to the application deadline there will be presentations by the Summer 2012 interns on the 24h of January, and 7th of February that will give potential applicants a taste of the internship experience. Application Materials Required
1. CV or resume (PDF)
2. Application (Word document) with the following:
- Full name
- List with dates and details of prior international experiences (1 sentence each)
- Essay discussing why you are interested in this opportunity, what relevant skills or experiences you have that will benefit Chinese planning institutes, and your level of preparedness in terms of intercultural adaptability. The essay should be no longer than 1-page, single-spaced.
