Portland planner Tom Gihring traveled to Hong Kong in 1976 and again in 2006. He will discuss the development of Hong Kong and what lessons can be applied to the expansion of cities in mainland Chinese. The talk will be illustrated by a series of pictures Mr. Gihring took of the global city from the same vantage points during his two visits 30 years apart.
