Relevant for many problems that ail individuals and society at large in the 21st century: the five archetypal “virtues” of Chinese antiquity and their direct relationship to the five organ systems of Chinese medicine. Dr. Fruehauf will analyze the symbolism of relevant pictograms to reveal a layer of complex information associated with the topic of human virtue and the related five, six, and seven emotional states. To convey a living example for the application of “virtue therapy” in modern China, he will present a detailed introduction of the unique emotional healing system utilized by the Confucian healer and educator Wang Fengyi (1864-1937) and several generations of his students.
Heiner Fruehauf, PhD, LAc, is the Founding Professor
where he has taught since 1992.
