Business Outreach Program--A PSU School of Business Administration project to provide long-term mentoring relationships with start-up and emerging businesses, including technical assistance on specific projects.

Center for Academic Excellence: Community-University Partnerships Community-Unviersity Partnerships promotes and supports academic excellence through activities focusing on the enhancement of student community-based learning outcomes and faculty scholarship of engagement, while addressing specific and compelling issues in local, regional, and world communities.

Center for Population Research and Census--The PSU College of Urban and Public Affairs center which provides ready access to census and other information on the population of Oregon, and timely analyses of the patterns of past, current, and projected future populations in Oregon and of the implications of such patterns for key issues facing Oregon.

Center for Transportation Studies--strives to stimulate and conduct multidisciplinary research on transportation issues, facilitating the dissemination of information and encouraging the implementation of research results.

Center for Urban Studies--The mission of the Center is to promote and facilitate the conduct of research and community service for faculty and students on urban issues relevant to the metropolitan area. The Center is an established and ongoing link between the University and the community which provides the infrastructure by which the assets of the University can be accessed by the community, and a means by which the University can access the community as a research laboratory.

Community Watershed Stewardship Program
-- a partnership between PSU, the City of Portland, Oregon's Bureau of Environmental Services, and numerous watershed advocacy organizations. The program's overall goals are to promote community awareness of the importance of watershed health, and to support community members and organizations involved in watershed stewardship and advocacy.

Institute for Non-Profit Management--A PSU program which offers students and professionals committed to the nonprofit sector a unique opportunity to develop their skills, gain valuable insight into the larger context of the nonprofit sector, and deepen their connection to the nonprofit communities of the Northwest.

Institute on Aging--Part of the PSU School of Community Health, the Institute carries out research related to the issues, policies, and programs that affect the quality of life for elders and their families, develops and implements training for persons interested in gerontology, geriatrics, and lifelong learning, and provides service to the community in the form of short-term training, educational programming, technical assistance and the sponsorship of organizations for elders.

Regional Research Institute for Human Services--a program of PSU's Graduate School of Social Work, RRI works to improve the manner in which social services and service delivery systems are designed, managed and evaluated.

School of Extended Studies--uses the strengths of the University to serve and empower lifelong learners by delivering programs that are flexible, responsive, and innovative.

Survey Research Lab-- conducts a variety of surveys for government agencies, university-affiliated groups, community organizations, non-profit organization, educational institutions, social service agencies, and private businesses.

University of Oregon

Center for Housing Innovation--seeks to advance the state of knowledge and professional expertise related to the planning, design, and construction of residential environments, civic buildings, and workplaces in the Pacific Northwest.

Data for Local Communities--a service of the Orbis Cascade Alliance, this website is a gathering place for statistical, spatial, and descriptive information about the cities, counties and other civil, economic and natural regions of Oregon.

Institute for a Sustainable Environment--The University of Oregon Institute for a Sustainable Environment is a center for special, collaborative, and applied research projects. The institute's activities aim to produce information that can help resolve complex problems and enable people to sustain the economies and environmental systems that support their communities.

InfoGraphics Lab--a geography resource which focuses in the integration of GIS and graphic design tools and techniques for geographic data access, analysis and cartographic presentation.

Community Planning Workshop--a UO planning program community outreach to provide professional planning assistance to communities, agencies, and organizations across Oregon.

Center for Water and Environmental Sustainability--promotes sustainable use of environmental resources through research, education, and technology transfer.

Kiewit Center for Infrastructure and Transportation--addresses infrastructure system needs in the Northwest and the nation. The Kiewit Center creates a collaborative environment for multidisciplinary research focused on the systems that make societal activity possible within the built environment and provides for dissemination of research through technology transfer.

Survey Research Center--provides comprehensive professional services of the highest standards for designing, administering, and analyzing all aspects of research surveys. Surveys have been conducted for federal, state, and local agencies in the Pacific Northwest, for public interest groups, and many University departments. The Center also undertakes research to improve survey methodology.

Oregon Health Sciences University Regional Outreach--a series of programs that address provider makeup and distribution imbalances and combine training and care with service to the underserved.

Center for Professional Development -- Lewis and Clark College program which provides dynamic educational experiences for continuous personal and professional growth enabling adults to think creatively, act knowledgably, and live reflectively.

Oregon Center for Inquiry and Social Innovation--a Lewis and Clark program that advocates for community ideas. The center supports clear identification of issues facing local and global communities, and provides a place where community members may join with scholars to identify fresh, innovative and useful responses.

Center for Coastal and Land-Margin Research--a research center of the Oregon Graduate Institute which addresses society's need to manage increased development and manipulation of coasts and land-margins while preserving and enhancing their environmental integrity.

The Metropolitan Institute at Virginia Tech--conducts basic and applied research on national and international development patterns, focusing on key forces shaping metropolitan growth such as demographics, environment, technology, design, transportation, and governance.
